A resilient block, esp. an engine mounting block, comprises a solid body, esp. of elastomer or the like, in which a number of continuous, pref. parallel ducts of cylindrical or prismatic section interconnect cavities of larger cross-section. Pref. these cavities have a dimensional ratio, perpendicular and parallel to the duct axis of 1:3 to 3:1, esp. approx. 1:1. The cavities may be polyhedral, ellipsoidal or spherical. Opt. cavities and ducts may be filled with a damping liq. |
