Polymer resins prepared by polymerizing alpha-olefins in the presence of high activity Ziegler and/or Ziegler-Natta polymerization catalyst compositions are treated with at least one alcohol of the formula R'' - OH wherein R'' is a C1-C10 alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl group. The alcohol must be used in the vapor phase. The treatment with the alcohol eliminates the odor and discoloration of the products, especially injection molded products, produced from the resins. |
