PURPOSE:To make quantitative determination of a dodecane substitution product by a hydrogen flame ionization detector by drawing a specified amt. of n- dodecane and a prescribed amt. of n-paraffin and passing the same through a sepn. column contg. a silicon high-molecular liquid. CONSTITUTION:The specified amt. of the n-dodecane 2 contg. the dodecane substitution product such as dodecanone, dodecanol and nitrododecane is drawn from a line 1 by a sampling device 3 and is stored in a sample vessel 4. The specified amt. thereof is further drawn by a sampling device 6 from the vessel 4 and the specified amt. of the standard material such as n-pentadecane is drawn from a vessel 7. Such sample mixture is fed to a sepn. vessel 8. The silicon high-molecular liquid is packed in the vessel 8 and an inert gas 9 such as nitrogen for separating the components in the sample mixture is introduced into the vessel. The respective separated components are fed together with the inert gas 9 to the flame hydrogen ionization detector 10 by which the quantitative analysis of the dodecane substitution product is made in accordance with the comparison with the standard material. |
