<p>A waste disposal apparatus includes a shredder 4 to shred waste material to a required product size. The shredded material is passed through a magnetic separator 8 to a pneumatic separator 16 which separates the light fraction from the heavy fraction. An aerobic process is carried out on the heavy fraction in a digestor tower 18 to convert the heavy fraction into compost. The light fraction is fed to a pelletiser 36 which converts the light fraction into pellets of refuse derived fuel. <IMAGE></p> |
