<p>PURPOSE:To quickly and easily align a cursor by controlling the moving speed of the cursor by the rotational speed of a rotary encoder. CONSTITUTION:The output of the rotary encoder 1 is supplied to a phase discriminating clock output circuit 2, and the output of the circuit 2 is supplied to an up/down counter 3. The counter 3 is reset at every prescribed time by the output of a timing signal generating circuit 4, switches an up-count or a down-count by following a phase discriminating output from the circuit 2, and counts a clock pulse from the circuit 2. The count data of the counter 3 is read to a register 5 and registered at every prescribed period by the output of the circuit 4, and added algebraically to the register data of a register 8 by an adder 6. Its added value is read by a load pulse outputted from the circuit 4 through a temporary register 7, and read and registered by the register 8 whose timing is controlled. Accordingly, the contents of the register 8 become a value accumulating the count value of the counter of every prescribed period, and a cursor position is controlled in accordance with the storage contents of the register 8.</p> |
