PURPOSE:To stabilize and simplify the process for color intensification by incorporating a basic metal compd. hardly soluble in water into a silver halide color photosensitive material and incorporating a compd. which can generate a base by making a complex forming reaction with metal ions constituting above- mentioned metal compd. into a processing soln. contg. an intensifier. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photosensitive material subjected to imagewise exposure is subjected to a development intensification process in the presence of a reducing agent and at least one kind of the intensifier. The basic metal compd. hardly soluble in water is incorporated into the silver halide color photosensitive material and the compd. which can generate the base by making the complex forming reaction with metal ions constituting above- mentioned compd. are incorporated into the processing soln. contg. the intensifier, i.e., the liquid intensifier or liquid development intensifier. Since the base is generated by the hardly soluble metal compd. and complex forming compd., the life of the liquid development intensifier is extended and both the stabilization and simplification of the color intensifying process are satisfied. |
