PURPOSE:To improve the cutting speed of the titled blade and to extend the life thereof by joining ultra-quickly cooled and solidified thin strips obtd. by spraying a mixture composed of hard particles and the melt of an Fe, Ni and Co alloy onto a cooling roll surface to each other with the roll surfaces thereof as joint surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The film consisting of >=1 kinds among Fe, Ni, and Co is placed on the hard particle surface. The mixture composed of 10-30vol% such hard particles and the balance alloy consisting of >=1 kinds among Fe, Ni and Co is heated to prepare the melt of the above-mentioned alloy in which the above- mentioned hard particles are dispersed. Such molten metal is then sprayed onto the cooling roll surface to form the ultra-quickly cooled and solidified thin strip 5 which has the above-mentioned compsn. and is three-dimensionally dispersed with the hard particle in the above-mentioned alloy. The thin strips 5, 5' of the same kind are then integrally joined to each other by an epoxy adhesive agent or brazing filler metal such as Sn-Ag with the roll surfaces 5a, 5'a thereof as the joint surfaces, by which the extremely thin cutting blade is obtd. |
