<p>PURPOSE:To make the assist control smooth and obtain the comfortable steering feeling by inputting the fluctuation of the rotating speed of an engine detected by a rotating speed detecting sensor to an exciting current control unit. CONSTITUTION:The second generator 23 outputting the generated voltage in response to the engine rotating speed and the exciting current is provided separately from a charging generator 21 as the power feed source of an electric motor 16 assisting the steering torque. A torque sensor 15 detecting the handle torque is provided, and a rotating speed detecting sensor 25 detecting the rotating speed of an engine 20 is also provided. Outputs of the torque sensor 15 and rotating speed detecting sensor 25 are inputted, and the exciting current of the generator 23 is controlled by a exciting current control unit 24 so as to control the output current fed to the electric motor 16 in response to the output of the torque sensor 15 without being affected by the rotating speed of the engine 20.</p> |
