PURPOSE:To make a steering device small-sized and reduce its cost by connecting the output shaft from a transmission mechanism to the right and left wheels via the first differential mechanism and connecting the output shaft of a reversible continuously variable transmission to the right and left transmission shafts via the second differential mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The drive force outputted from a transmission mechanism M1 is distributed to the right and left axles 2, 3 via the first differential mechanism D1 to become the propelling force for a vehicle. The drive force outputted from a continuously variable transmission M2 is distributed to the right ane left transmission shafts 6, 7 via the second differential mechanism D2. In addition, these transmission shafts 6, 7 are positively and reversely connected to the right and left axles 2, 3, thus the drive force acts as a propelling force on one axle and a load on the other axle. Accordingly, when the vehicle is to be turned, a steering tool 11 is operated to rotate the outside axle quickly and the inside axle slowly or to reverse them, thus a quick turn or a one-point turn can be performed like the steering device of a conventional vehicle having exclusive continuously variable transmissions for the right and left wheels respectively.
