PURPOSE:To prevent the center segregation by braking molten steel flow by electromagnetic force, by acting the specific electromagnetic force toward vertical direction of the front of cast slab at the position of the specific solidus phase ratio in the cast slab in a continuous casting of molten steel. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic field acts vertically to the Z face of strand and to whole width at the width direction and then magnetic field acts vertically to the flowing of molten steel, which concentrates containing composition from non-solidified part of molten steel. Further, as the stronger the strength of magnetic field is, the larger the effect is, the strength of magnetic field is to be >=1000 gauss, and the electromagnetic field is acted at the position of 80-95% solidus phase ratio in the cast slab. |
