PURPOSE:To prevent ceramic particles from dropping out, by bonding the part of an ink passage of a ceramic body to provide a specified smooth surface. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of a recording head for an ink jet printer by using a ceramic as a material, a green molded body is produced from a raw material by an extruder, and the green body is sintered at a high temperature to obtain a sintered body, which is ground to obtain a ceramic body 11. The wall surface of an ink passage 12 of the ceramic body 11 is bonded to provide a smooth surface having a surface roughness of 0.1-3mum. By the honing treatment, an ideal surface free of dropping-out of ceramic articles can be obtained, and an ink jet printer free of plugging and high in reliability can be produced. |
