PURPOSE:To prevent dust from entering the interior of a cylindrical wrapping member, by a method wherein the interior of the cylindrical wrapping member, surrounding the exposed part of an inner tube or a piston rod is communicated to the open air only through an air filter member. CONSTITUTION:A bottom case 2, being a cylindrical member, is engaged with an inner tube 3, being a rod form member. The opening of the bottom case 2 is surrounded with a cylindrical wrapping member 4, and the cylindrical wrapping member 4 has the one end, secured to the outer side surface of the bottom case 2, and the other end secured to the outer side surface of the protruding inner tube 3 by means of, for example, a fastening band 5. Since the interior of the cylindrical wrapping member 4 is communicated to the open air only through a filter 7, serving as an air filter member, dust in the open air can be prevented from entering. |
