PURPOSE:To make a valve stem guide light-weight and compact, by forming the valve stem guide of a composite light metal reinforced by a short fiber. CONSTITUTION:A valve stem guide 3 is mounted in a cylinder head 1, and its guide hole 4 acts to guide sliding of a stem 6 of a suction valve 5. The guide 3 is formed of a composite light metal reinforced by short fiber. Accordingly, the valve stem guide may be made light-weight, sufficiently strong and compact. |
