The device for punching out a circular cutting from a metal sheet (8) has a centering pivot (3) above a lower cutting tool (6). The pivot is intended to be engaged in a pre-drilled hole. The pivot supports a raisable upper cutting tool (1) intended to cooperate with the lower cutting tool (6). The upper cutting tool (1) is rotatingly movable about the pivot and is radially adjustable. The circular cutting in the metal sheet is effected without danger by a manual rotation of the upper cutting tool which simultaneously drives a pressure nut (11).
