The invention relates to arrangements making it easier to carry out work on the case, whether for its initial connection or for a subsequent modification to its original capacity. The top and bottom of the case 1 are constituted by two similar panels 2 each comprising cavities produced on their internal faces, in order that the thickness reduction which results from this makes it possible to knock in, from the outside, passages bounded by these cavities. In order to withstand inadvertent impacts, the circular cavities are protected on the outside by concentric ribs 3 making, between them, free spaces 5. The other cavities correspond, on the outside, to the configuration depicted by the raised (relief) segments 4 which set aside, between them, passages 6. These passages, where the material is thin, can be easily knocked in from the outside so as to permit the insertion of a cutting tool in order to form the desired opening along the appropriate segments 4. The invention finds application in the equipment used in telecommunications, especially in the video communication network. <IMAGE>
