<p>To recognise genuine coins (1) of different value and to reject false coins in a single-channel tester, there are an acceleration stage (12) and, following this, a detector (27) detecting the mass of the coin (1) and having a baffle plate (28) and a vibration sensor (29). The coin (1) is started from standstill, before being accelerated. A stop (13) serves this purpose. In the region of the latter, further detectors (14, 23-26) detect electromagnetic test signals during the forced standstill and at the start of acceleration. A low energy requirement allows use in coin-operated telephones with a supply from the telephone loop. <IMAGE></p> |
