The present invention relates to a basket for stone-filling, in which the lateral faces 1, the bottom face 2 and the top face consist of rectangular trellises formed by mesh wires 3 intersecting at right angles, the trellises representing meshed elements which are separate from each other and in which the constituent wires 3 are bent over, at all their ends, in order to form rings 4 into which connection rods 5 are inserted in order to join the trellises in the form of a basket, these rods being themselves also bent over, at least at one of their ends, in order to form a ring 6. According to the invention, the rings 6 of the connection rods 5 have, in the longitudinal direction of the latter, a greater dimension than in the transverse direction. These baskets are intended to be filled with stones with a view particularly to the construction of retaining or facing walls. <IMAGE>
