PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device which surely obtains a copy having a desired density immediately after supply of a toner by replenishing the toner and idly rotating an agitating roll in a developing device until the toner density of a two-component developer reaches a certain density if the toner density is lower than this certain density higher than the level indicating the absence of the toner. CONSTITUTION:After replacement of a toner cartridge 32, the toner is replenished and an agitating roll 27 is idly rotated repeatedly until the toner density reaches a certain level C' corresponding to the density higher than the toner density in a level B' indicating the absence of the toner by a certain value. The stand-by state is set immediately after the toner density reaches the certain level C'.Consequently, the image forming operation is restarted relatively quickly. Further, a first copy obtained by the restart is clearly displayed so as to be sharply at the extent that it can be used since the image forming operation is restarted with the certain toner density C higher than a density B in the level B' indicating the absence of the toner. |
