A method and a circuit arrangement for determining an electrical set point for an actuator (10) of a control system is proposed in which various operating parameters are determined by sensors (14, 15, 16) and are processed via freely selectable characteristic curves to form an aggregate signal from which the duty ratio of a clocked direct-current signal for the actuator (10) is determined. For this purpose, table values corresponding to the sensor signals are called up from tables (1...n) of a data memory (19) by means of an electronic computer (18) and these table values are added together to form a total value. Using the total value, the set point for the direct-current signal is determined via a further table (I). The method can be used for any electrical actuators, preferably for a continuous fuel supply for internal combustion engines (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
