PURPOSE:To shorten bleach processing time without impairing color reproductivity by incorporating a bleach promoter in a processing bath having bleaching power or its preceding bath, or in the photosensitive material to be processed in advance. CONSTITUTION:The bleach promoter is incorporated in the processing bath having bleaching power or its preceding bath, or in the photosensitive material to be processed in advance. The promoter to be added to the bleaching bath is selected from compounds each having a mercapto or disulfide group, thiazolidine derivatives, thiourea derivatives, and isothiourea derivatives, so long as they have bleach promoting effects. This promoter is added to the processing solution generally by dissolving it in water, alkali, an organic acid, or an organic solvent in advance, but the bleach promoting effect is not affected even by directly adding it into the bleaching bath in a state of powder. |
