<p>A preservative with pharmaceutical activity which is suitable for embalming is prepared by comminuting and grinding a rock of specific composition, which can be found in the mountains of the Yemen, the powder is treated and extracted with boiled water, after which the mixture is allowed to stand for various periods of time and each batch is filtered and subsequently evaporated in a water-bath, and juices obtained by pressing aloe are added and stirred into the filtrate at a point in time when the concentrated filtrate is about to solidify, and the product which now gradually solidifies is isolated. The preservative obtained which is suitable for preserving foodstuffs such as, for example, raw meat and cereals, is believed by experts to be an embalming agent which was previously considered a secret formula and which was already known to the Ancient Egyptians. Surprisingly, this preservative has a wide range of medicinal activities when administered internally and externally to humans and animals.</p> |
