<p>A side-viewing endoscope is provided with a passage (8) for receiving instruments, which in the operative region (distal end) forms an outlet opening, and with a deflecting element (14) and its operating system. To ensure an axially-oriented transmission of forces in an optimum operating range, it is envisaged that the instrument passage (8) has a curved section (10) at the outlet end and that the instrument channel (8) is oriented, in the operative region, towards the side-wall of the endoscope.</p> |
