<p>Electrical switch, especially an ignition starting switch for motor vehicles, which is designed for high switching currents. Rigid bridge contacts (20), which are supported on a pressure spring (22) that applies a contact-closing pressure, are deflected via operating cams (32) on a rotary operating element (31) as well as via push-rods (35). The latter are slidably inserted in a guide sleeve (36) of a guide plate (37), parallel to the rotation axis of the operating element. This guiding of the push-rods prevents the forces which act on the push rods in a peripheral direction during rotation of the operating element from being transmitted to the moving bridge contacts, a fact which might lead to displacement or tilting of the bridge contact.</p> |
