It is provided, according to the present invention, that two very close parallel shafts (1, 2) rotating in the same or opposite direction, each fitted with a gear (3, 4), are rotated, each of them by means of at least two drive members. In an application to a double screw extruder, the housing containing the extruding screws is directly connected with the support of the thrust bearings, without urging the drive box. Said connection is obtained by means of tie rods passing through said drive box. |
