A container lid of the type which closes an opening of a container when it is bonded to a flange at the opening and can be torn off for opening the container when the contents are to be taken out. If the container lid is composed of a laminate layer material of plastic films or the like, it is difficult to satisfy two requirements of permitting easy opening and securely bonding the lid to the container by heat sealing. If bonding of the lid to the container is made tightly by heat sealing, the lid cannot be removed easily. In the present invention, an intermediate member is bonded to an outer member of the container lid in such a manner as to be capable of being peeled-off and an inner member is bonded to the outer member in such a manner that the inner member covers the intermediate member and is bonded to the container. With this container lid, when the outer member is pulled up, the inner member is cut along the inner edge profile of the intermediate member and the container is opened. This container lid can be bonded positively to the container and the container can be readily opened by tearing off the lid. |
