<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction for program searching and to speed up operations by controlling a tape travel speed in stages and using data modulus for testing in correspondence to a tape speed for detecting the true value of read-out program searching data. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting search, a system controller 8 multiplies a tape speed by 100 and switches the testing data modulus of true value testing algorithm to 100-fold speed. If the difference between program numbers up to a target position is three or more after a fixed time elapsed, the tape travel speed and the testing modulus are switched to 200-fold speed. Then a difference up to the target is one or less, the tape speed and the testing modulus are set to 100-fold speed again. When the difference between the current position and the target program number disappears, a tape travel direction is reversed, and the tape is checked precisely at 16-fold speed. When the agreement of program numbers is detected, a search mode is terminated to start reproduction. Thus malfunction for program searching is eliminated to speed up operations.</p> |
