The tap 30 has a fitting element for installing in a hole 2 of a sink 1. The tap has a base section 13 with two supply fittings 10, 12 connected to separate and parallel supply passages 17, 18, which are carried in a longitudinal direction in the base section. The base section is fitted to be led through the hole in the sink. The base section also has a slanting hole, which accommodates a sliding lifting rod 21 with a knob 23. The hole 19 is formed slanting in the bottom end of the tap and runs between the supply through-flow openings 17, 18 without intersecting these. The bottom sections of the supply through-flow openings are threaded to receive fittings 10, 12 from two flexible pipes 9, 11 for connection to the taps. The tap is preferably formed from two sections. The base section 13 is manufactured by machining from a metal rod and the upper section is manufactured from a metal tube. <IMAGE>
