摘要 PURPOSE:To focalize a main object to be photographed, even in a short range position, by setting an area to the first line counted from a short range side in one row of the center of a photodetecting sensor, as a short range center pixel area, and executing a short range center priority distance measurement or a short range priority range finding. CONSTITUTION:A photodetecting sensor 13 has pixels P11-Pmn of (i) lines and (j) rows, the first line which goes to (i)='1' a photodetects a reflected light of the closest focusing distance, a pixel of the m-th line which goes to (i)=(m) photodetects of a reflected light of a long range, and pixels which exist extending from the first line to the I-th line photodetect a reflected light of a comparatively short range. In case of plural reflected light beams are made incident, for instance, when the reflected light beams have been made incident simultaneously on a short range center pixel area, and a pixel area (peripheral pixel area) which has been constituted of other pixel, even if the reflected light which has been made incident on the peripheral pixel area is in a short range side, the short range center pixel area is allowed to take precedence. Also in case when plural reflected light beams are made incident simultaneously into the pixel areas of the same kind, the pixel of the short range side is allowed to take precedence and the short range priority range finding is executed.
