Floor wiper provided with a support for carrying a cover having on its underside a plurality of fringes or similar or for carrying a raised pile washing cover or similar, which floor wiper consists of two arms and a central portion. The two arms of the support are pivotally connected, at their mutually facing ends, with the central portion, and the central portion is provided with a handle support arranged in the middle thereof. In order to produce a floor wiper of said type, which is not only easily produced and assembled but also ensures rapid, clean and safe handling with regard to the application and removal of the fringe-coated cover, the central portion (7) has a bottom plate (9) pivotally linked with the two arms (5, 6) to which a support plate (11) is attached on which a spring disc (14) is rotatably arranged, on which is located a clamping disc (18) linked with said disc, to which clamping disc is secured the handle support (28), whereby tension springs (25) provided on the top of the two arms (5, 6) are inserted in a groove (17) or similar on the spring disc (14) in order to tension said arms. |
