<p>A tipping body 10, for example for a box trailer 12, comprises a chassis 10 and a tippable platform 13. The platform is linked to the chassis by means of a four-bar linkage 14. Tipping is effected by pulling the leading edge 20 of the platform with respect to the chassis 10. The set up is such that as tipping occurs the centre of gravity does not move substantially with respect to the chassis so that the danger of over balancing is reduced or eliminated.</p> |
