PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesiveness of an adhesive or paint, by irradiating a vitreous film obtained by applying a specific composition with ultraviolet rays in the presence of ozone. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by mixing components (a)-(d) is applied in order to form the protective film of a color filter to make it possible to form a thin vitreous film. That is, organosilane represented by a generals formula RSi(OR')3 (wherein R and R' are a same or different org. group) and/or a partial condensate thereof (a), fine particulate silica (b), a hydrophilic org. solvent (c) being alcohols and an alcohol derivative and water (d) are mixed to prepare the composition which is, in turn, applied and further irradiated with ultraviolet rays in the presence of ozone. Whereupon, the org. substance present on the surface of the film is removed to modify the film so as to enhance the adhesiveness thereof with a sealant. |
