<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a sheet of paper from being fouled, by installing a rotor, whose surface has a high friction factor and a high electric resistance, between the guide plates installed at both sides of the paper to be conveyed on a image bearer by a resist roller, and the image bearer. CONSTITUTION:The paper 6 driven by a resist roller 7 is guided from both sides by guide plates 2a and 2b and conveyed toward an image bearer 9. Each peripheral speed of the roller 7 and the image bearer 9 is adjusted so as accord with each other, and the image is transferred to the paper 6 from the image bearer by a transfer charging body 10. A rotor (guide roller) 3 is installed between these guide plates 2a and 2b and the image bearer 9. The surface is covered with a rubber member 3a, and the central part 3b is formed with a metal roller, tightly attached to the shaft 3c, and it is rotated in an arrow direction. The rubber member 3a has a high friction factor and high electric resistance, and it is grounded together with these guide plates 2a and 2b via a varistor in advance. With this constitution, static electricity of more than the specified value is discharged, giving tension to the paper 6, whereby a transfer failure is prevented from occurring.</p> |
