PURPOSE:To raise the containing efficiency of a toner, by a waste toner carrying means which has been supported so as to be turnable, in the vicinity of at least one wall surface, in a position which has been separated from the bottom face of a toner collecting container. CONSTITUTION:In a figure (a), a waste toner carrying means is supported so as to be pressed against a wall of a toner collecting container 26 extending over the overall length in the direction of a revolving shaft 30, at a prescribed distance from the bottom face of the container 26. Therefore, a spiral member 31 is deformed elastically, and between the shaft 30 and the inner wall of the container 26, a reservoir 32 of a toner is formed. In this state, the toner which has been scraped and dropped down by a scraping plate is caught temporarily in the reservoir 32, and carried and collected in the space direction of the container 26, by a spiral which has been reset elastically and formed as the shaft 30 turns. As for the rotating direction of the shaft 30 in this case, it is rotated in the direction for carrying out the toner from the reservoir 32, namely, clockwise. When the toner collecting quantity increases and reaches a turning position of the waste toner carrying means, the toner is carried in the right direction as shown in a figure (b), a collected toner in the container 26 is prevented from its deviation and filled uniformly in the container 26, and the containing efficiency is raised. |
