PURPOSE:To have easy change of damping force by stopping a valve body with a stopper through rotation by a stepping motor, and changing the section area of flow path according to specified rotational position of the valve body. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 31 with flow paths 32, 33 is fixed to an inner cylinder 12, and a base 35 with a flow hole 36 is passed in the center of the valve body 31. A stepping motor 37 is fixed to the top flange 35a of said base 35, and a rotary valve element 42 with a flow path 43 using a pin 41a is fixed to the output shaft 41. The rotational angle range of said valve element 42 is restricted with a valve stopper 45, and a boss 46 to be fitted in the recess of the valve element 42 is formed at one end of this valve stopper 45. Thereby the valve element 42 is rotated for every specific angle, and oil flow is selected through two plate valves 50, 51 by communication of the flow hole 36 with flow path 43 or blockade of the flow hole 36, which should provide accomplishment of decrease and increase, respectively, of the damping force. |
