PURPOSE:To make it possible to selectively use a solar cell and a dry battery in the same construction without use of additional parts by installing a pair of springs whose one side pieces are capable of being elastically deformed toward an upper case and the other side pieces toward a lower case. CONSTITUTION:A pair of springs 11, 12 whose one side pieces 11a, 12a are capable of being elastically deformed toward an upper case and other side pieces toward a lower case are mounted in a printed circuit board 8 arranged between the upper case on which a solar cell 6 is mounted and the lower case in which a dry battery 15 is accommodated in an appliance such as a desk electronic calculator. When the solar cell is used as power source, the appliance is assembled so that one side pieces 11a 12a come in contact with the lower surface of the solar cell 6. When a dry battery 15 is used, it is assembled so that the other side pieces 11b, 12b come in contact with the upper surface of the battery 15. Therefore, the dry battery 15 and the solar cell 6 can selectively be used in the same construction, and cost can be reduced. |
