<p>PURPOSE:To make the size compact by forming an annular V-groove on the rotating disk portion of a wheel hub periphery side, inserting a V-shaped brake member into the V-groove and driving the brake member by the rotation of a piston mounted on a steering knuckle side so as to obtain the braking force. CONSTITUTION:On the side face of a rotating disc portion 2a provided on the periphery side of a wheel hub 2 integratedly connected to a shaft 3 with a bolt and nut, a V-groove 5 is annularly formed and the bottom of the V-groove 5 is made to be interconnected to the atmospheric air via a through-hole 6. A cylindrical body 8 is mounted on the axis side of the hub main body 2b provided on the inner periphery side of the hub 2. The cylindrical body 8 is rotatably supported on a steering knuckle 11 through bearings 16a, 16b. An annular member 10 is engaged on the periphery side projecting portion 11a of the steering knuckle 11 and the V-shaped brake member 9 touched to the V-groove 5 is fixed on the annular member 10. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the braking force by advancing and retarding the annular member 10 with the action of the piston 13 inserted into the projecting portion 11a.</p> |
