PURPOSE:To execute high speed casting without any occurrence of center cracking by executing light rolling reduction with the specific reduction rate to a cast slab by the prescribed rolling contraction at the specific range of the upstream side from solidified completion point. CONSTITUTION:By using a bending type continuous caster, high Si steel having >=2.5% Si is continuously cast at >=1.3m/min casting velocity vC. In this case, the light rolling reduction with 2.85XvC rolled length (l) and 0.20-1.0mm/m reduction rate (g) is started at >=20mm non-solidified thickness (d). In this way, even to the steel having large solid-liquid coexistence range, the high speed casting without any occurrence of center cracking is executed. |
