PURPOSE:To make it possible to cope with the forming of a bent hose having any inner diameter by a single mandrel by a method wherein the mandrel consists of an alloy core material made of nickel-titanium-based shape memory alloy and synthetic resin covering, which adheres closely to the outer periphery of the alloy core material and has an outer diameter same as the inner diameter of a hose to be formed in a bent pipe. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin covering 2, which adheres closely to the outer periphery of an alloy core material and has an outer diameter same as the inner diameter of a hose to be formed in a bent pipe, is detachably mounted onto the alloy core material 1 made of nickel-titanium-based shape memory alloy, the shape of which is memorized so as to restore the bent shape at the vulcanizing temperature of the hose to be formed in a bent pipe and which is preferably unidirectional and has circular cross-section with the diameter of 6mm or less. In addition, one end of the synthetic resin covering 2 is fixed by pressure with a clamping ring 3 to the alloy core material 1. A mandrel, which copes with the forming of a bent hose having any inner diameter by a single alloy core material 1, can be constituted by replacing a synthetic resin covering 2, the wall thickness of which is different in proportion to the inner diameter of a bent hose. Further, the preferable synthetic resin covering is nylon 11, nylon 12 or nylon 6. |
