PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of any mechanically movable section and attached facilities, such as pump, bomb, motor, etc., by filling at least the space between half mirrors with liquid crystal and installing electric field forming means to the half mirrors. CONSTITUTION:At least the space between half mirrors 1a and 1b is filled with liquid crystal 4. Moreover, electric field forming means, for example, electrodes 6a and 6b are respectively installed to the half mirrors 1a and 1b and the electrodes 6a and 6b are connected with a power source. When the voltage is variously changed, the resonating wavelength can be changed and the refractive index of the liquid crystal changes in accordance with the change in intensity of the electric field resulting from the fluctuation of the voltage. As a result, the resonating wavelength is also changed and the change in resonating wavelength can be confirmed from the intensity of the transmitted light. Therefore, the necessity of any mechanically movable section and attached facilities required for the movable section can be eliminated. |
