PURPOSE:To prevent the rise of the temperature of a heat dissipation block, i.e., the temperature of an LED chip by dissipating heat from a base via a heat-conductive insulating material filled in the base of a lamp and buried with a resistor for current limitation. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 9 for current limitation is provided in a base 8, a heat-conductive insulating material 10 wherein a resin material such as, e.g., an epoxy resin or a phenolic resin is mixed with a metamorphosed metal such as aluminum oxide (Al2O3), aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)3), etc., is also filled in the base 8 and the resistor 9 is buried in the heat-conductive insulating material 10. This makes the heat generated in the resistor 9 exclusively being conducted only to the metal 8, not being conducted to an LED chip and can be used for comparatively high voltage such as commercial voltage. A small size LED indicating lamp which can be used in place of a conventional incandescent lamp can also be realized. |
