PURPOSE:To prevent a coil from being damaged even if a drive coil collides with or rubs a cover by providing a nonconducting member having a cushion property to at least the inner face of a magnetic shield cover covering an objective lens support member. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens driver is protected by a cover 33, which is made of a ferromagnetic substance and acts like a magnetic shield cover to prevent leaked magnetic flux generated from a drive means in th cover 33 at the drive of an objective lens from a magnetic disk 35. Further, an optical head device is placed on the inner upper face of the cover 33 by sticking a nonconductive member 34 such as a 'Myler(R)' tape. The Myler tape 34 has a cushion against an external shock, an objective lens support member 23 is moved toward the cover 33 and the end of the tracking coil 26 collides with the cover 33, then the chock is relaxed. |
