PURPOSE:To shorten waiting time at the time of low temperature and normal temperature and to prevent light memory of an image carrier by controlling rotation and stopping of a fixing device and an image carrier to make temperature of the fixing device and image exposure of the image carrier a proper value that allows copying. CONSTITUTION:As fixing temperature is low at the time of low temperature, image exposure is not yet attained to proper quantity of light, and accordingly a motor 6 is rotated for a specified time. Desirable time of rotation is about a half or quarter rotation of a photosensitive drum 3. Thus, the fixing temperature detected by a temperature sensor 5 is low, and the time is necessary to make image exposure proper quantity of light, and delay of rising time caused by rotation of a fixing device 2 and the photosensitive drum 3 can be neglected. At the time of normal temperature, the image exposure is already arrived at proper quantity of light, even when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 5 is low. Accordingly, the fixing device and photosensitive body 3 are not rotated, and the fixing device 2 and photosensitive body 3 are made to start rotation when the fixing temperature rised. |
