PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a white streak and blur at image junction of a edit copy by stopping driving of a photosensitive body until exposure scanning reaches a designated area and stopping exposure to the photosensitive body while the photosensitive body is stopping. CONSTITUTION:When image scanning of a sheet of original is completed, a photosensitive body belt 15 is stopped, and after setting next original to the reading position, the belt 15 is driven. An exposure scanning means, that is, an automatic original supplying device 2, returns while the belt 15 is stopping. Accordingly, when copying one copy editing plural sheets of original, the belt 15 is stopped plural number of times. When the belt 15 is being stopped, the illuminating lamp 12 of the exposure scanning means is put off, and exposure to the belt 15 is stopped, or the light path from the original to the belt 15 is intercepted by a liquid crystal shutter 14. Thereby, entrance of reflected light from the original or reflected light from a contact glass plate 1 into the belt 15 while the belt 15 is stopping is prevented, and occurrence of a white streak or blur at image junction can be prevented. |
