PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic separation filter capable of maintaining its performance in the strongly acidic and strongly alkaline fluids for a long period by coating a metal or alloy having excellent corrosion resistance on the base material consisting of a ferromagnetic substance. CONSTITUTION:Cr or Sn is coated by plating on the base material consisting of a ferromagnetic substance such as a crystalline iron-base alloy, or Ni is plated on the Cu-plated material to obtain a multilayer coat. As a result, the magnetic separation filter material coated with a corrosion-resistant metal or alloy is obtained. The filter material to be used as the matrix of a magnetic filter device has an excellent characteristic, and can be used in a strongly acidic or alkaline fluid for a long period without being corroded. Furthermore, the material can be produced easily and inexpensively. |
