The present invention relates to a mechanical assembly comprising: a support 10, symbolising the frame of a machine; at least two studs 40a, 40b, symbolising at least two different tools intended to be mounted in place of one another on the said machine, the studs being different and having to be immobilised at different predetermined locations on the support, first manual means for adjusting and clamping 22, 26, 28 by the actions of an operator in order to provide adjustment and fixing of each stud individually; second adjustment and clamping means, capable of being substituted for the first means, also in order to provide adjustment and fixing of each stud individually, the first adjustment and clamping means and the second adjustment and clamping means being designed so that their operation by the operator, for substituting one stud by the other, simulating tool changing, respectively require different methods and times. Teaching application of the assembly in order to familiarise an operator with the problems of organising the changing of tools on machines. <IMAGE>
