PURPOSE:To easily mount the title device to an ink supply system, in an ink jet printer, by providing a seal ring, which permits the flow of ink to an ink head side by the revolution of the device at the time of mounting, on an ink head. CONSTITUTION:When an ink cartridge is mounted to an ink head, a front case 7 is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the cover 3 on a back case 1 to engage a pawl 11 with the cover 3. Whereupon, the projection 16 of a seal ring 14 is engaged with the groove 4A of a piercing hole 4 and breaks a seal film 5 to be inserted in an ink tank 2. Since the fine hole 15 of the seal ring 14 does not coincide with the fine hole 13 of a projection 12 at this time, ink is not yet introduced. Next, when the front case 7 is rotated at a predetermined angle with respect to the cover 3, both fine holes 15, 13 coincide to communicate with each other and the ink in the tank 2 is guided to an ink emitting orifice. By this constitution, mounting is made easy and no ink leakage is generated and a certain ink continuity state can be secured. |
