PURPOSE:To speed up opening and closing of a mold and realize a strong mold closing by a motor with a small capacity by a structure wherein two screw mechanisms, the twisting directions of the screws of which are the same with each other and at the same time the leads of the screws of which are differnt from each other, are employed in combination. CONSTITUTION:When a housing 6 is fixed to a rotating member 9 by engaging clutch mechanism 16 and 16' with each other simultaneously with the rotation of a motor 21, the housing 6 rotates together with a shaft 12 so as to actuate screw mechanisms 4 and 13 (in this case, screw mechanisms 8 and 14 do not work). By the action of the screw mechanisms 4 and 13, which have large lead of screw, a movable plate 1 moves at a high speed in the direction of closing (a closing process). At the final stage of closing, the contact of the molds is detected by detecting means installed on a fixed plate and on a movable plate 1. A detection signal of the detecting means disengage the clutch mechanisms 16 and 16' and engages clutch mechanisms 20 and 20' so as to fix the housing 6 to a support backing plate 5. As a result, the movable plate 1 moves in the direction of closing at a low speed, which corresponds to the difference between the leads of screws 13 and 14, so as to close the molds by a large force (a closing precess). |
