PURPOSE:To rapidly carry out cooling of vinegared rice and improve the operating efficiency, by transferring the conveyed vinegared rice to a stepped conveyor, dropping the vinegared rice from the stepped conveyor and blowing air to vinegared rice while stirring the vinegared rice on the conveyor with thrusting levers. CONSTITUTION:A succeeding stepped conveyor 2 is provided after a previous conveyor 2 for transferring vinegared rice to form a dropping part 1 capable of dropping the vinegared rice. Thrusting levers 3 for stirring the vinegared rice are provided on the succeeding conveyor 2 and an air blowing device 4 capable of supplying air to the vinegared rice is provided near the thrusting levers 3.
