PURPOSE:To make a negative power source unnecessary to simplify a power supply circuit by stopping the clamping operation when a ternary pulse is in the high level and performing the clamping operation at the middle of the ternary pulse. CONSTITUTION:The ternary pulse obtained from a ternary pulse generating circuit PG is sent to a clamping circuit CP through a capacitor 10. Since an analog switch 15 is closed at this time, the level at the middle of the ternary pulse is clamped at a reference voltage V1. This operation is performed in a vertical transfer period. In a read period, the analog switch 15 is opened and the diode clamping circuit CP is not operated. Thus, the electric charge stored in a capacitor 10 is not changed, and the change of the output of an inverter 2 passes the capacitor 10 and appears in an output terminal 14 as it is. |
