摘要 PURPOSE:To permit the automatic measurement of an eluted sample obtd. by the preparatory sepn. with a high precision liquid chromatograph (HPLC) by combining an instrument for measuring the IR spectra of the sample deposited on a sample base surface with an interface. CONSTITUTION:A material which reflects IR rays is used as a sampling holding base 2 to hold the sample 1 thereon. A soln. of the sample 1 is dropped at a prescribed amt. thereto and the solvent is evaporated as it is or by heating, pressure reducing, or blowing of a dry gas, then only the sample 1 to be measured deposits and remain thereon. The holding base 2 on which the sample 1 is deposited in the above-mentioned manner is set in the sample chamber of an ordinary IR spectrophotometer and IR light 3 is projected to the sample 1. Then, the IR light 3 passes the sample layer first and reflects on the holding base 2; further, the light passes the sample layer again and emits therefrom as reflected IR light 4. The degree of the absorption by the sample 1 is, therefore, obtd. by comparing the reflected light 4 with the reflected light of the case in which the sample 1 is not placed on the sample base.
